i used to use tigi curls rock number 5 , do you still sell it or is there a similar product ?
Hi can you tell me if the girl toy serum is now discontinued and if so what is the alternative. I have suffered from alopecia since I was younger so I’m very particular about what products I use. I swear by this product but I can no longer find it. Many thanks Kerry x

Yes the Girl Toys Serum has now been discontinued. It was a popular product but to be honest the technology is improving so quickly that newer products are superseding the old ones. I’m sure that there will be some older stock hanging around but is unlikely to be with the main suppliers.
My advice would be to go with TIGI catwalk “Sleek Mystique BLOW OUT BALM”. This is the the same strength as the Girls Toys serum, and does exactly the same thing. However it has the latest product technologies and you only need to use a pea size when applying. You’ll find this a little lighter too which is great.
You also mentioned that you suffer from alopecia. Have you looked at using the Kerastase Stimuliste spray. It helps prevent hair loss and helps and promotes hair to grow back. We have many clients that swear by this. If you haven’t tried it, it really is worth a go.

Please can you let me know if you are going to stock Living Proof ‘no Frizz’ products? Big article in the Daily Mail today (21/6/02) saying this product is on sale in the UK now, but cannot find it anywhere!

Currently we don’t have plans to stock this although we are planning to test it.
We currently have a number of anti frizz solutions which have been around for a number of years which we know genuinely work.
The L’Oreal Kerastase Oleo-relax Serum, with the Oleo-relax shampoo and conditioner is probably the most successful anti frizz system we have worked with, and we use this as the benchmark for any new ‘miracle’ product coming into the market
If FRIZZ is a big concern, we would also recommend you ask a professional hairdresser about permanent blowdry. This is a fairly new service which has been EXTREMELY successful at both de-frizzing and reducing volume. It’s called a few different names, usually a permanent blowdry or a brazillian blowdry. One service lasts approximately 12 weeks. Meanwhile, if you haven’t yet tried the Oleo Relax system, it might be worth giving it a go.
