    Hi,

I Have very curly hair and im finding it difficult to manage. I have looked into permanent staightening, but all treatments seem to designed for wavy hair. I don’t want my hair to be dead staight i just want it less curly and easier to manage. My hairdresser told me that the straightening treatment are for virgin hair and my hair is hilighted,so it would’nt be suitable. Although my hair is big and there is a alot of it the actual strands are very thin and damage easily. Is there anything you could recommend.

    Thanks

      Hi there Sara

I would recommend the Moroccan Oil. Use this on towel dried hair and blow-dry as usual. I would only use a 10p piece size at a time. You will find this smooths your hair and improves condition almost immediately.

Another great product would be the Kerastase Nectar Thermique as a heat protection product. I would suggest using this after applying the oil.

      I hope that helps.

    Hi,
I have hair that is straightened everyday and i am looking for the best heat protector can you recommend one? Also, it has been very dry and damaged in the past few months and has been breaking a lot, it is a lot better now(using ojon palm oil) but still breaks a little, i was wondering if the TIGI antidotes 2 or 3 would be good for it?

    thanks

      Hi there Laura,

The TIGI Urban Anitdotes range will give you instant moisture and shine. The shampoo’s and conditioner’s also contain ingredients that help to support your colour from fading.

I would suggest starting off with Resurrection (Number 3) after you have used this go on to Recovery (Number 2) and stick with this. You should find your hair feeling and looking great.

If you have colour in your hair i would recommend Kerastase Ciment Thermique. It will give you fantastic heat protection for up to 5 washes but as your hair is slighty damaged use it every 2 washes to start with working up to every 3 washes after 1 month. This will also help to rebuild your hair improving the condition time you use it.

      I hope that helps.

  3. HI i wornder if you can help me, ive tried to email kerastase but not got a reply and my hair dressers dont know. I am a male,, quite funky and have navy black colour on my hair,, now ive had surgery and my hair thinned out lots afterwards and anyway im going a teeny bit thin at the front so i bought the homme range and the first time i used it it took all my colour out immediatedly,, then i went back in and bought the spray in the silver bottle that contains aminexil ect once again all the colour came out . What do i do,, surely the products should be able to be used on all ttype of hair as people have thinning coloured hair or limp coloured hair . Ive got the chroma reflect shampoo and mask at home but im not getting the scalp stimulation that i want, please can you advise me i want to try the course of 42 aminexil ampoules,,, yours sincerely a rather stressed danny

      Hi Danny
Your hair has changed since you have had surgery, ( You’ve said it is thinning) – I would ask whether the texture has also changed? It maybe the hair has become more resistant which means that it would need to be pre-softened prior to colouring. This will help lock in the colour for you.

It also sounds like you might be using a non-permanent colour – it is probably worth taking advice on whether a more permanent colour would be better. Semi permanent colour sit on the outside of the hair shaft so is easier to become dislodged, permanent colour sits inside the hair shaft so is locked in tighter

(By the way – if you find a salon that does TIGI colour, they can do a great permanent blue back)

Under normal situations the Chroma Reflect range would definitely be the right choice for you but if you are using Aminexil then you should use the Bain Prevention shampoo – (Specifique Bain Prevention GL 250ml)

You could still use the Chroma Reflect conditioner though.

Danny, you are obviously well informed and you are doing many of the right things but I would suggest that if you are not already doing this, you see a good professional hairdresser and ask them to work through your best colour options for you

It’s hard to give you the best advice without being able to analyse your hair for you. However I hope that this has been of some assistance

      Best of luck
